So Hard to Be Kind?

Why is it so hard to be kind?

What is wrong with people these days? What’s wrong with you and your attitude? Why are you so stuck up that you cannot open the door for someone or smile at someone?

We are all so caught up in our lives because we have the greatest problems. My problems will always outdo yours, right?

We are so caught up in our phones, and social media that we forget how to be social.

What’s wrong with you? What’s wrong with you when you cannot say hello, or smile at a person? Are you that important or are you that cold? Will your face crack or cause wrinkles when you smile?

Let’s Be Nice

The world would be a much better place if we had genuine, nice people who smiled and greeted each other. Try it sometime in your local establishment or at work. Bring donuts, spread some happiness, and see how your day changes. See how your life and the people around you respond to random acts of kindness.

See how people will relate to you differently when you show that little bit of care, empathy, and sympathy. See what happens when a certain person that you didn’t seem to like very much comes around and you find out that they have been dealing with shit… They too have problems but today you broke the ice. You made someone happy and that will make you happy in the long run. Why do we love to see children’s expressions when they open presents? Because we feel good. We have just become bigger and older kids. We still love the same things.

The Next Time…

When you are having a crappy day, do something nice for someone. Yes, it is the polar opposite of doing something nice when you are mad, upset, or distraught. But the next time you walk past the homeless person, hand them some money and a sandwich.

You probably have seen the same guy on the same street corner a million times and thought about doing something nice but you didn’t. So this time do it deliberately and see what happens. Do it once, do it twice, and see how you feel.

Life is not always about you. How would you feel in their shoes and how would you feel if someone cared a little more about you? Think about that for a minute and you may surprise yourself and others by random acts of kindness.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
