Top Things to Look For in a Relationship.

According to my recent somewhat official or unofficial poll on TikTok, here are the results! Now keep in mind that this is from a poll of 70,000 people and only 3000 views at the time of posting. There are 200 messages so the spread is not totally crazy.

I asked this question on my TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@zsoltzsemba  to see what sort of responses I would get and blog about it. The participants knew this in hopes of generating honest answers. Much of my time is spent goofing around, joking, and talking about what I am doing or where I am on TikTok Live. So when I posed this question in the live chat, the answers were all over the place. I am hoping to get more legit answers in the post chat.

Was I surprised by the comments? In many ways yes. It seemed to mirror the comments on the live, which at the time I thought were jokes. So the top comment is mostly about financial security or…

It’s about the money!

I was a bit shocked to see the importance of money being at the top of many people’s minds. This indicates a few things. One of them is that in Indonesia the wages are quite low. So in search of a partner, financial security or money is quite high on the list.

Let’s keep in mind that a beautiful woman can and will go after a more financially stable mate. Simply because they are able. Before you get all up in arms, hush… I have seen in happen and we all know it does. The millions of sugar babies in Indonesia and around the world goes to prove this.

I was surprised to see that the importance of money and financial security did outweighed loyalty and even pure love in many cases. Many participants listed money, love, and loyalty as the top three. There are also cases of second or even third wives in Indonesia. This means that many women would settle as long as they are looked after. Surprising? maybe not so much, especially for single moms. There seems to be an abundance of single moms in Indonesia and this is much higher than I would have even thought.

The Top Three

What were the top three? Well, this was somewhat of a tie and I’ll try to break it down. Loyalty, trust, and honesty kind of file into one for me. Yes, they mean slightly different things but if one is loyal we should assume they are honest and trustworthy. If you are trustworthy you should be honest and loyal and if you are honest you should be trustworthy and loyal. I assume. Correct me if I am wrong on this but I can roll all that into one.

Those were the top results and I feel they can and should be rolled into one. However, compromise should also in the top of the list. Because without compromise we would never be able to move forward. That is only my opinion, feel free to disagree.

I guess I was wrong…

I thought it would be all about love and romance and all the nice things that go with the idea of marriage and relationships. Not one person ever said, sharing chores, or compromise. The ideal relationship would be sharing, caring, romance, quality time, and so forth. No date nights or even diamond rings.

The idea of family and raising children did come up a few times. Family was up there but not anywhere near the top of the list or even near it. Having children is important, hence the many single moms on my TikTok. But when it came right down to it, it lagged behind other things, like money!

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
