Be careful when meeting people.

Another Tragic Case.

People tell me stuff. I am always open and looking for stuff to write about. I guess it goes hand in hand. Where else can I find amazing real-life stories than from those real-life amazing people on my TikTok and Instagram? So sit tight, this is a good one.

I am going to put together the pieces here. I may be off on a few things but this is generally how things went down from what I have heard and seen from direct contact with certain individuals.

Girl/boy, man/woman or however you want to phrase that, meet online. The girl gets invited to Bali by a man. She accepts the trip with the hopes of meeting the man of her dreams. She flies to Bali and gets treated nicely with activities, wined, and dined for a few days. Suddenly the tables turn when the man wants his return on the investment he made. The man paid for a ticket to Bali, he forked out a few bucks on dinner and maybe even gifts.

Return On Investment?

Well, we can all guess what that return on this investment looks like right? Oh yeah, exactly. Suddenly the payback may or may not be on the table or the bed in this case. So, what’s next… Well, this is when things go a little sideways.

The woman told me all this. Well… Let’s say meeting a psychopath online is a thing… No way, nah it cannot be true, can it?

This young lady from Jakarta met this man from a Scandinavian country. The man said he had trust issues; he would lock her on the balcony while he showered to make sure she did not steal his passport and credit cards. He left the bathroom door open in the hotel room while he did his thing. I mean what sort of a contractual agreement did these two enter into? He claimed to have had childhood trauma with his dad who was hard on him and often abused him. This cannot end well you say. You would be correct.

The Pay Back.

The man wanted something at the end of a few days. The woman didn’t agree, and the two of them ended up fighting. The woman got tossed on the bed and choked, while she tried hard to not give in to what he thought he was entitled to.

What is a man or woman to think when you agree to sleep in the same bed for a night and tension builds? What was the young woman thinking the man wanted? Friendship, relationship, or a little bit more of one than the other? Come on, we all know where this was going. He claimed to have been a product of trust issues, past violence, and a few beatings. He was only passing on what he knew right? Bullshit, he and she both knew how this would end. The woman saw the red flags and tried to not complete this little weeklong affair in Bali. So for crying out loud, meeting and talking to someone online is not a bad thing. Before you get beaten and choked by a man who wants you. Think again and maybe wait a little longer before being desperate enough and crazy enough to accept such terms. Unless you are very clear on what, where, and how this “relationship” is going and what the outcome is going to be when this weekend’s extravaganza is done.

While this woman was lucky to not have been raped, or sexually assaulted she was assaulted and escaped with minor bruises and of course her pride. Be careful when meeting strangers online, no matter the purpose and who the person is.
