You really suck, like in a big way!

Face The truth, in the end…

Let’s face it, have you read many self-help books? Read and watched hundreds of inspiring quotes and videos? Reached out to friends and family for help regarding the journey you are on? Have you been able to change your life? Have you been able to turn things around and head in the direction you wanted to head into?

Have you had your “Walter Mitty” moment?

I will guess that you may have tried some things you have read… maybe even tried manifesting all the things you wished for but in the end, nothing happened. Have you lost the weight you wanted to lose? Have you attracted money, love, or success? Once more I will guess that you have failed or have had little to no success. Here you are reading a bald man’s blog wondering why all the above is so true about you and millions of others. Maybe you or someone you know, a friend of a friend has had success but not you. Here is the big reveal, the big secret. Are you ready to hear my big idea? My inspirational secret? I am no Tony Robbins, but you are welcome to read on!

You really suck, like in a big way!

You suck and you are never going to be successful. Words of inspiration, truth, and anger right? Do you suck at everything? Most likely not at everything… I totally suck at singing and I hate paperwork. So if I suck at singing why the hell would I push myself to sing? I hate making invoices but I need to get paid. I am good at certain things so I’ll stick to them. I am good at making plans, getting things organized, and leading a team for example.

You do not suck at everything…

Neither do I. I’ll listen to amazing singers and I’ll hire a personal assistant to make the invoices. Let’s focus on your strong points and things you are good at and enjoy. That’s you now, write down your strengths and weaknesses. Then pick out the strengths and focus on them. I’ll never be a good singer, even if they auto-tune the hell out of my voice. But damn it, I’ll make a good public speaker and I’ll turn your company around if you let me. This is why you will not succeed.

You have been waiting for help.

I hate to break it to you, like an alcoholic, you choose to suck, like they choose to drink. It’s not a disease it’s a bloody addiction. You are addicted to sucking at the things you choose to suck at and blame everyone but yourself for the failures in your life. Your relationships, your job, and terrible friends or circumstances. Wake up and make the changes you need to make. I could sing, I am sure I could. But I am not going to waste my time trying when I can do something else. I can write a beautiful poem and wish I could play the guitar. Yes, I am sure I can get better at it but I will not try…

Choose your battles.

Why are you striving to run a marathon when your knees are shot? Oh, you can try but you’ll disappoint yourself. So why try shit you do not like or suck at? Focus on the good in you. You are lying to yourself if you say you suck at everything. It is nothing but an excuse for yourself to do more of the nothing you are doing today. Do you want encouragement and success? Get off your ass and go find it. Do not blame your friends and family or co-workers. You have no one to blame but yourself. Take baby steps or jump in the deep end.

Be the fish out of water!

You will quickly see how much you will change. You will see how proud you will be of yourself when you take the first step out of your safety net. Your safety net is the safety zone. Step out of it and see how quickly your life and you will stop sucking.

Society has given us the ability to cry on social media and post about life. It has given us false glimpses of success and hides the failures. Be the one that hunkers down and stops the God damn rollercoaster ride. Decide to make a change and stop sucking. Good luck in your first steps to a better life.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
