Vacation is Over

Some Parting Thoughts.

It seems like I have just landed and it’s time to go home. Coming back to Canada is not a vacation, it is coming home to my family and doing a few touristy things while I am here. The last two times I have come back I have gone to Niagara Falls for content and breakfast with my editor, Janet. Breakfast was good, but the content sucked. It is not that I am not a fan of Niagara Falls anymore. It is not that it has lost its charm.

Canada had changed.

Living in Canada, you may not notice that it is less safe, our once pride and joy of multiculturalism has taken a dive into thriving chaos. Yes, I have said it and I don’t care.

Parts of Niagara Falls are Crap.

Don’t be mad because it is true. Go for a drive and you will see lovely parts of the immediate Falls, yup that’s true. Please take a walk to any one of the side streets and see the shithole it has turned into. The small hotels are shitty and crappy. I am sure the makeshift kitchens in some of the crappy hotels are not licensed to sell food. The signs look like they come from a third world country and it is a dirty place.

How About the Safety?

Well, let’s not go there. A Range Rover was stolen from in front of my friend’s shop. A Mercedes was brought in with two bullet holes from a man who supposedly went on a Tinder date and was nearly carjacked. There was the TikTok live that I was almost assaulted on at Yonge and Dundas. Plus, a lady that very quickly backed up and put away her phone when I said hello.

Downtown Brampton is filled with drug addicts and homeless people. Tents line the streets of Toronto; I am in a bit of shock.

Witnessing this and other minor things makes me think that we in Canada are in for a struggle and it will not be pretty. If the economy tanks as the experts say it will; this and other problems will multiply. So, for now, let’s say I was disappointed when I came back. I do not see the government doing anything about this as they have had plenty of time to take all this in. Up to now, people I assume have turned a blind eye. Let’s see how long this can go on before the problems are in your face and mine. I am off to my little bubble in Bali…

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
