Chapter 14

Sienna and Rafa left her father’s office, their hearts filled with a sense of triumph. They had faced her past, and they had emerged stronger than ever.

They returned to the café, their sanctuary, their home. The café was quiet, the lights dimmed, the familiar scent of coffee lingering in the air.

Sienna leaned against the counter, letting the moment settle around her.

“I can’t believe it’s really over,” she murmured.

Rafa watched her. “What now?”

She looked up at him, searching his face. He had been there through it all—his quiet steadiness, his unwavering belief in her. He had given her a place to land when she had nowhere to go. And now…

She stepped closer. “You tell me.”

His expression softened. “You already know.”

Sienna smiled, something warm and certain settling in her chest. No grand declarations were needed. No hesitation remained.

She leaned in, pressing her lips to his.

Rafa kissed her back without hesitation, his lips meeting hers with a warmth that felt both familiar and electric. It was as if this moment had been building between them all along, a natural culmination of their unspoken feelings.

The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their shared intimacy. He could feel the flutter of her heartbeat matching the rhythm of his own, deepening the sense that this connection was destined to happen. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, promising excitement and possibility, as if they had both been waiting for the right moment to finally embrace what had been lurking just beneath the surface from the very beginning.
