You’ve Got To Be Smarter!
While I cannot help being different… A Bule a white foreigner in Indonesia I can help by opening people’s eyes a little. It is a matter of perception and education I believe.
As men, I believe we are all wired the same and our backgrounds, education and environment make us who we are. I am a great believer in how our environment and surroundings affect us. I grew up working and working and I cannot seem to stop. I always need to be doing something or I think I wasting time, that just gave me an idea for the next blog. But the point is, if you as a man grew up in a village with little to do but fish or farming that is your life. My life to you would seem completely irrational and complete chaos. Your mind, while it has the same capacity and has the same potential as mine has not been activated. It has not been turbocharged from the age of 9-10.
It’s In Your hands!
Oh this, this is what kills me… Nearly every person, no matter how poor or how simple, had a damn phone. You’ve got the world in your hand. You have all the power and all the knowledge going back thousands of years. Yup, so you can research and read about cultures, and people and check every country on earth by reading and visiting them on Google Earth, Google Streetview and so on.
You have no excuse to read and learn and you do not need paid consultation on how to meet and talk to foreigners and pay some scamming couple on how to talk to foreigners. Not unless you are stupid! Assuming you are not of the stupid variety, you can read and have comprehension skills and understanding as part of your repertoire, so use them, please.
Don’t Be a Sheep
Don’t be someone who follows people down a blind path that will lead you into further stupidity. If you are truly fond of foreigners and want to pursue that, then go and surround yourself with that kind of people. Strive to better yourself and work in those kinds of environments, companies and countries if possible.
The best way to better your life is to better yourself.
So yes, the world is yours for the taking. What you do with it and how you do it is up to you. Every day people are moving about and doing things to help themselves and others. Do not be a blind follower because no one will help you in the end. If they do it is going to cost you. Education, research and knowledge are key. Ladies and gentlemen have a good day!
