Jordan & The Didgeridoo

A Didgeridoo Story

While I was not aware of the controversies about this particular instrument, I was about to find out. The world has gone amuck with political correctness and cultural appropriation so let’s try very hard to put our differences aside on this matter and focus on the person and reasons behind this blog.

I met Jordan at the Pyramids of Chi while creating content for their social media platforms and learned something new. This is important because I am very open minded and curious at the same time.

Meeting Jordan

We know the saying, “Do not judge a book by its cover”. Here is Jordan, one of the facilitators at the Pyramids of Chi. He is a long haired, tattooed young man the one may think would be ready to cause trouble. Instead, he is a gentle soul that loves playing the didgeridoo.

When he did his content with us it became evident that he was not very comfortable being on camera. The sound of his voice was a few octaves higher than normal and he was fidgeting with his ring. He spoke quickly and was clearly uncomfortable.

After a few words of encouragement and getting him to play his instrument, he quickly settled down and into the groove of things.

So I Asked Him.

How did you get into this? Well, the answer may surprise you as it surprised me. He came from a military background and let’s just say he had some issues in finding his way back to the real world. No, he didn’t end up going to digeridoo school and graduating from someplace in Australia with his instrument. Instead, he found his peace with this instrument and found a new purpose in life.

As I said, my ignorance of political correctness aside, I knew this was an instrument from the Aboriginals in Australia and this instrument had hundreds of names. However, for Jordan and the many who are calmed, inspired, and changed by Jordan’s love for this instrument it should not matter.

What You Get Out of It.

Jordan offers his sessions and classes at the Pyramids of Chi regularly so please check it out. For me, this was the first time I had heard this instrument played and I tell you, I was impressed.

Jordan had a tough time adjusting to “real” life after his military service, I will get an in-depth story from Jordan soon. However, this instrument not only saved him and his mental state but is now helping others. Hence the reason I said, we need to put the controversies aside and focus on the good. In this case, this instrument that is crafted by ants is a saviour, a piece of medical equipment that has saved a life. We need to be open minded, and open hearted to the sounds, tones, and rhythms generated by Jordan and his digeridoo. The wonderful calming effects of this amazing instrument and of course Jordan, the man behind it all. Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
