If You Are Not a Leader, Learn To Be!

Problems with Leadership!

Are you an owner of a business? Are you a leader in a business? Are you in any form of power position at all in the workplace or an organization?

Do you have the power to change someone’s life for the better or the worse? Listen up, right now. If you have any sort of reach or ability to change a person’s day, please change it for the better.

I learned long ago that kindness is not a weakness. Kindness is the greatest superpower one can possess. Being kind and being able to have compassion and understanding is not easy. It is the lowering of your expectations, lessening of your ego, and opening your listening skills as well as your heart.

The Asshole Boss.

The asshole that one often works with has zero compassion and their Ego is bigger than Uranus. The next time you encounter problems at work or in any organization, ask yourself if you are the asshole first, before blaming others.

Listening and understanding are superpowers and with great power comes great responsibility. People will ask your opinion on the silliest topics and sometimes very private ones. What you do with your superpower comes at a cost. That is the responsibility to hold secrets and to shape someone’s life.

This is where your leadership and people skills come in handy, provided you have those interpersonal skills. If you do not, you should learn or change positions because you will fail. Or hire someone that knows to guide you.

Know how to delegate!

If you are a boss or a leader, please understand you need to be nice. Unless you are very rich and choose to be an asshole, at least be the best asshole you can be. But remember, you are only as good as the people you surround yourself with. When you have upset angry, frustrated and dysfunctional people around you, your company or organization will be dysfunctional as well.

Know how to delegate and learn how to be nice. Delegating work is assigning tasks that you had hired people for. Being nice has nothing to do with work and or delegating. If you are a leader, you can delegate and hold people responsible at the same time without pushback or anger. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. No one likes it when people are rude and disrespectful so why should you be?

Hand out assignments/work and be kind. When there are problems, address them. Do not call out people in front of others, and don’t create problems where there are none. Be nice for crying out loud.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
