Confidence-Part 2.

How to be Confident.

Getting back to confidence or lack thereof, I am just going to expand a little on part two of this confidence issue. Our fear of embarrassment and fear of rejection had much to do with confidence. For me growing up in business and slowly being introduced to larger and larger groups of people helped me settle into the role I was being groomed for in a sense.

As our company grew, I had to hire, fire, help, and often discipline people along the way. We had to give speeches, and hold meetings and this was not easy but we got used to it. This built my confidence. Also, my parents played a role in this. They pushed me to be better, a better soccer player a better person and because we always worked together we always had each other’s backs. So if you or your employees are lacking confidence in certain areas create a good support team. Or at least a support person.

Support Team.

Whether it is your family or your co-workers, it is always good to have a team around you. It is always good to know that your team supports you and has your back.

It is also very advantageous to know what you are talking about. Hence, be prepared, be ready, and get back up. Backup can be notes, people, or statistics you can rely on. Kinda like a wingman in a bar. Or is that a wing person now? Oh hell, it’s a wingman… Either way, have your ideas clear in your head and run with it.

I used to admire people who could go up to anyone without embarrassment and start talking to people. Yet now, I am the one doing it but not all the time. Sometimes I don’t feel like doing it. Often, I don’t want to create content for example but it’s become a bit of a job so I need content. This forced me to put myself in situations I often didn’t feel comfortable in and five years ago I may not have done what I am doing today.

Lack of Confidence

Sometimes it is not even the lack of, but the idea of putting yourself out there is what scares you. It scares me too. But I learned not to give a shit. I don’t care what people think because, in the end, it helps me do my thing. It helps me to talk to many individuals without the fear of rejection.

So far no one, I mean not a single person told me to go to hell when I approached them.

You can go and watch all my TikTok content and see how many people I speak to. Not one of them ever told me to get lost or told me to leave them alone. I am batting a 1000 and one hundred percent of the people approached were happy to chat. This, like in the previous blog to this one gave me the never-lose percentage to give me more and more confidence. You may need to take baby steps as I did. It is hard but you can do it.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
