Back to Canada

Back to Canada! No Zoom today!

While we have not missed a Zoom class up to now, we are missing it today, Saturday the 17th of June. It would be hard to Zoom on the plane on the way to Kuala Lumpur.

I am on the way to Canada and back for the first time in 2023!

For many reasons.  It was a somewhat challenging ending to 2022 and the beginning of 2023. One, my aunt passed away in December 2022. Followed up with a few personal issues that bled into 2023. All that being said, things turned out fine, but it has been challenging.

Life goes on.

In reality, I should have been at home with my family. However, sometimes there are things one needs to push through and persevere. There are times when one needs to do things alone.

This was hard but I felt I needed to get through this alone.

It may seem strange, but I couldn’t run away, so I decided to stay. I went to Ubud and buried myself in blogs, work, and my mind. Was it easy? No, no it was not but I felt if I went back to Canada, I would have lost and I needed a WIN!

Cannot get lost.

I was close to going back to Canada. I must admit, having someone pulling the rug out from under you is never easy. I do not dwell much on personal problems and decided to not put my problems out there online.

So here I was alone in Bali.

I mean alone, alone. Alone on Christmas Eve in Ubud and it felt like shit. This is new to many people I am sure and somewhat unbelievable to others. Yes, I have friends here but honestly, no one can help or could help. They can help by listening, but once the story is told, it’s in the past all we can do is move on. That’s what I did. I moved on. Was it easy? No, no, no, it was hard, but I did it and I came out stronger and wiser in the end.

This trip to Canada will be a reconciliation for me. I will go to Canada without burdens and dark clouds over me. I had to do it and I did. So, I am going to Canada for fun.

Problem solved!

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
