You Already Know It’s Over

So Why Are You Still There?

You already know it’s done! So what’s the matter with you? Pack your shit and go! You don’t need a therapist, a sign from the universe, or your friend to “finally say it out loud.” You already know. You’ve known it for a long time and yet here you are. You feel it every time they speak and you stop listening. Every time you think of the future and they’re not in it. Every meal, every conversation, every outing you are an actor playing a part. Great, maybe give yourself a medal! Every time you have sex it feels like you’re just checking a box to say you did it. The good morning text the next, “I miss you” are all lies!

But here you are. Still in it. Still showing up for something that’s already dead.

Let’s stop pretending you don’t know why. You’re not confused. You’re scared.

Scared of being alone.
Scared of change.
Scared that letting go will feel like failure.
Scared you’ll regret walking away from someone who once made you feel something — even if that feeling has been gone for a long time.

You’ve told yourself it’s just a phase. You’ve convinced yourself things will get better if you hold on a little longer. But let’s be real: that’s not hope, that’s fear wearing a mask. You are freaking pretending to do your part… A part in a game of life that you are losing at, currently.

The Real Reasons You’re Still Here

Let’s strip it all down to the bones. You’re staying because:

  • It’s convenient
  • The sex is decent enough
  • You don’t want to be the one who’s “single again”
  • You already spent so much time that leaving feels like losing
  • You’re more afraid of starting over than staying stuck

Here’s the kicker: you’re not fooling anyone. Especially not yourself.

You know what’s wild? We treat being single like it’s the worst thing that could happen. Like loneliness is more dangerous than being in something that’s slowly killing your joy, draining your energy, and making you resentful of your own damn life.

Let me ask you this… When did your peace become worth so little that you’d trade it for company?

The Slow Death of Staying Too Long

You don’t just lose the relationship.
You lose yourself.

You lose your voice when you stop speaking your mind.
You lose your light when you stop feeling seen.
You lose your fire when you’re putting in energy for two.

And at the end of it, when it finally breaks, because it will… You’re left with the regret of not leaving sooner, wasted time, energy and lack of happiness!

Trust me, nothing hits harder than realizing you knew all along but stayed anyway.

After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
