700 Blogs! OMG

Yes, it’s been 700 days and 700 blogs!

I started this blog with my Aunt and Uncle, not with them but with them in mind when I first thought about the blog. Write a blog about things that are happening in my life. At the time my Aunt was ill and we didn’t think she would make it. Life took a weird twist and she got better, left the hospital and my uncle ended up passing away. 

Yes so life is never easy and I thought why not, let’s try this blog thing and see how it goes. At first, it was easy… Lot’s to write about, lots of topics to explore, and then it got harder. I searched for topics about Canada, Indonesia, business, and so forth to keep going and I did. 

I Often Thought…

Often, I am sure my friend and editor Janet must have had enough of my rambling, the run-on sentences, and countless spelling errors. However, I am happy to say she is with me on this journey and I hope with the publishing of my book Gerobak 777 and Four Letters, it may finally pay off. However, this is about the blog and yes Janet has read all 700 of these one-page articles, rants, stories, and poems. 

I often throw a poem or two in to give myself a break. I have tried to deal with Chat GPT and Bing chat but if and when I did, I did disclose it. I found them to be “not me”. So while I use it for articles on the Pyramids of Chi in Ubud or to co-write the wolf horror story I once did, I tend to stay away from AI, except for the graphics. I love using AI for blog post graphics and some cool art to go with the blogs.

So There Are 700.

From addiction to mental health, business, life in Bali, and poems, I think I have covered nearly all the topics that interest me. I guess some may have also interested others as the blog gets decent views and I hope some read the blog.

I have also used my content on TikTok as talking points because I get to talk to many people on my TikTok live. These TikTok live chats often get a little wild, funny, and sometimes off the rails. This combination of living in Bali, TikTok, and personal experiences make up most of my blogs. 

Sometimes I like to put in the poems and have them come online the same days I post them on TikTok. This was the hardest thing to overcome. Blogs and ideas were one thing. But the poems were harder to put out and even harder to put out in video form on TikTok. I have certainly grown as a person throughout these 700 blogs and never missed a day of posting. Let’s see what 2024 has in store for the blog and thanks for your support.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
