We did it!
We did it! We sure did. How do we bring 22 people together? It was not easy. But after about 6 or 7 months of group chat and many ups and downs, the event went ahead.
First, we had to find a place that could and would accommodate and work with us. Thanks to the Pyramids of Chi, we were able to make this event happen! This was not a team-building event per se. There was no physical team to build as we had never met. There were many newcomers to the group. Therefore, we were building the meet and greet on the fly. Not knowing who would show up, and not knowing how the event would be was a bit stressful. This was also a networking event because many attendees have small businesses. So, with this event, we can also create several leads for many of our team members.
The Facility
Part of our agenda for the day was the sound healing meditation session. This was great. However, it was starting at 9 a.m. on a Saturday. How do we get people out of bed on a Saturday morning? Thankfully the team was committed to the cause and nearly all of them were on time and at the event. Getting to the Pyramids of Chi is not hard, but there was a road closure that caused some detours. Traffic is always hit-and-miss in Bali.
This early meditation event was perfect. Everyone started off on the right foot by getting into a calm state of mind and setting everyone up for a great day ahead. Kevin from Sedona Arizona led our sound healing session. He is a Native Indian and has a very spiritual way of looking at life. The Pyramids of Chi went all out for us and so did Kevin as he did this for us free of charge.
The Event
We did it, but what did we do? We had our meditation session, snacks, and drinks to start. Then we got together for lots and lots of social media posts and TikTok Live streams.
After the photographs and many posts, we all had lunch and got to talk to each other. This was important because up to now we only tapped and chatted on our phone screens and met on video calls. Meeting in person giving everyone a hug and shaking hands added an extra level of comfort to our meet and greet.
Moreover, we had many Zoom class attendees at the event. So, some of us were closer than others, only because we had had weeks and weeks of communication before our meeting. While some of us were closer than others, we all came together very well and had a great day at the Pyramids. The next part of the event was at the beach. Not all of us, but most of us headed off to Double Six beach. The night was filled with dancing, live music, and lots of pics and real-life chatting. This was of course the point of the event, and we did it. We got many people together for the event and we made it happen. We also gave away t-shirts, mugs, and free hugs. This physical contact is what the world is missing. We got people together and had a ton of fun in the process. Team ZZ, we did it. What’s next? We are still figuring it out, stay tuned.
