The Lost Women Of Bali Part 5

In Search of Happiness.

We have looked at the lost women of Bali from one perspective, now let’s examine this from another. How can a single male find a mate in Bali? When so many women have been through so much, it is hard to find a genuine connection because women can and will latch on to a man for many reasons.

Some of it may be love, some of it may be financial needs or some of this could be a cry for help and to be saved. Either way, it is rarely a genuine connection or true love. This is a web of lies and deceit a Bule must swim through and sort through before a truly loving relationship can begin.

It is Sad

These are facts. Many women only want the prestige of being seen and being with a foreigner in places they will never be able to afford on their salaries. From the first part of this series to now I have focused on women.

But not the men. I know of a few women who use several men at the same time to gain an upper hand in life. Having had personal experience with this it is very ugly and very difficult to detect. These women know the game and can juggle several men especially if the men travel for business and are often in and out of Indonesia. This causes several side effects.

These Women Don’t Know What Love Is.

These women are so used to being used and using others that the love in their hearts does not exist. I don’t think they can fall in love or love anyone deeply enough to be loyal. It is always a search for the next leg up, the next financial injection, or a trip to someplace they would never be able to reach alone.

This sea of fish or sharks can be hard to swim through. It goes both ways and finding any man or woman worthy of your time and attention is hard. For all or some of the reasons I have laid out in this series, life is not easy in Bali for a single person. A genuine connection is hard enough to find in any city. However, on this island, I believe it is even harder when often young women come with high hopes and regret the move but are too ashamed to move back home. Therefore, they stay, struggle, and often turn to the bottle, nightlife, and drugs. So, there you go, life in paradise is exactly that… However, sometimes life in paradise is not paradise.

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
