My Disappointment In the Bali Real Estate Sales Person.

My Disappointment.

I recently inquired about a piece of land in the Jimbaran area. This is not my first step into the Bali Real Estate business. I have built and sold villas in Bali. I have worked for and with Real Estate companies and villa owners. I have run villas on Airbnb and helped people put together large presentations for investments. 

I was also in charge of a multimillion-dollar build: Jakarta Film Studios and Fourmix – Indonesia’s one and only Dolby Atmos sound mixing facilities. I am the former COO for the largest production house in Indonesia MD Pictures I am not new to business, to building or even dealing with hundreds of employees in both Canada and Indonesia. I do not need to validate myself but at the same time, I felt like I needed to after all this. So yes, there it is, my validation that I am not some newb who discovered Bali Indonesia as I landed here last night. So do not treat me like some fool that you will pressure into some sales tactic because you suck as a salesperson! Why am I dropping all of this on you? Simply because my call with Mr. Blank, Blank from Blank company went like this.

It Was An Interrogation for F?ck Sakes!

I put in a request to Inquire about a piece of land the other day. A guy messages me and then calls me about the land I had enquired about. He immediately goes on a rant about their prices skyrocketing in the area I am looking in. He immediately asks about my history in Bali. Do I live here, where I am from, and what do I do here?

Like STFU dude. 

Who the hell do you think you are? Are you trying to sell me your land, are you trying to do business with me or are you trying to attack me and make me leave?

Where Are Your People Skills?

I am sorry people, I am a little aggravated as you may be able to tell. What are these cocaine snorting, ignorant fools thinking? Okay, the cocaine snorting is a whole other story but also Real Estate related, we will get into that another time. 

Seriously folks, what planet do you live on? This guy asked for my name and then my last name which he, I am sure immediately Googled. With zero people skills, this guy immediately jumped into the Uluwatu land prices going wild and that bulk investors were buying up all these plots. Like bro, Mr. Ignorant piece of crap, I don’t care. I am inquiring about this, see this text, this piece of land and I don’t care what call you just got off of and who pissed in your cereal today. 

Damn, I wish you had not called me because I don’t want to deal with you. I will go and find the land myself and I will search high and low to find the owner that you are most likely ripping off as well so I do not need to deal with you!

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
