Common Goals!

Meeting of Minds.

Often social media can be destructive and hurtful. Yet as we are finding out, with the correct selectiveness we can find good people everywhere. Yes even online. I guess that may or may not go for dating and catfishing but in my experience, it has been great.

Today’s meeting involved my long-time friend Rima from Alir Tirta Batik, Ochya from Bali Drink Services, and Rara who is a jack of all trades. Through TikTok, we have met and found many common goals. While it is mostly business-based, from giveaways to marketing, it is mostly about sharing and networking to help each other and move forward in life. While I would be the oldest of the group we all have a variety of experiences that we can build on.

Alir Tirta Batik is owned by Rima. She started out from zero, selling her products at the local markets in Bali. She has the knowledge from the bottom up as to how hard it was. Today the business is thriving. We have done a few giveaways with her and have built a great friendship.

Ochya, Bali Drink Services is a small company and is in the process of building an online fashion brand. The usual dresses, shirts and bikinis. This is a competitive world, but consistency and determination pays off. Hoping for the best, Rima and I will do our best to help her.

Rara is new to our group. However, she has great connections to influencers and also has ties to fashion and clothing. With her experience maybe we can all benefit and grow. For now, we are in the initial stages, and helping each other is of utmost importance.

Why the get-together?

It started with the duck. Yes, the duck. The duck at 70 Fahrenhite in Jimbaran is one of the best and we decided to meet there with Rima. Then Ochya joined and she brought Rara. While this happens to be one of the best duck places in Bali, it is also a cool place to meet because according to me they have the best Latte in Bali as well.

Now those are according to my tastes, however, this restaurant has been here for a while and it made it through Covid and is thriving once more.

Anyhow, the point was the duck and how we just had to try it. However, it ended up being a casual meet-up and a business chat. This is how Bali is, we have so many people here that we can quickly arrange a dinner lunch, or a sunset on the beach meeting. Gotta love Bali!

So The Meeting

Focus online is the theme here. Social media and working together to start a business, continue a business, and grow all those little bits and pieces of the business.

Life and business is never easy. So when a like-minded group gets together, good things are bound to happen. The world is online and every business needs to have an online presence. The easier it is to communicate with the business the easier it is to make a sale. This little bit of information is missed by many. They sit back and wait. The best defense is an even better offense. So this is what we are doing. We are on the attack and assembling a small team to help each other grow. Free advice and friendly advice is always great. But getting things done is even better.

So here’s to you ladies. All the best and let’s hope that when we meet for duck and coffee next time, we can build on the achievements we have set out. At the same time, we are building friendships and networking along the way!

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
