Sarah: Okay, Alex, what does this word “down” mean?
Alex: Hmm… “Down”? Does it mean like… going down the stairs?
Sarah: Yes! That’s one meaning. It can mean, like when your computer goes down.
Alex: Oh, I get it! Like when the power goes down and everything is dark.
Sarah: Exactly! You’re catching on. Now, what about this one, “dawn”?
Alex: Is that when the sun comes up?
Sarah: You got it! “Dawn” is the first light of day.
Alex: So like, when it’s not dark anymore?
Sarah: That’s right! It’s the beginning of a new day.
Alex: Okay, last one, “done”. This one’s easy! It means you’re finished, right?
Sarah: Absolutely! Like when you’re done with your homework.
Alex: I’m done with this game! Can we play something else now?
