Love and Money, Not the Same
Love is a complex emotion, money, love and support should not be mixed. In a recent reply to a TikTok post, I had to explain something there. Why do many women equate love and money? Sure, money helps in any situation, but having someone pay for things that you want is being materialistic and not love. When the money goes, so does your love? Absolute bullshit with a bullshit mentality. It’s important to recognize that love and financial security can be deeply intertwined in many cultures, including in Indonesia. While some may view financial stability as a crucial component of a relationship, equating it with love can lead to a misunderstanding of what love truly means.
The whole concept of love is so misunderstood by many. I am not sure if this is a local thing or a worldwide phenomenon. It sure is skewing the view on relationships for many women both young and old. Providing is different than buying a Hermes bag. Having a roof over your head is more important than having a Mercedes in your garage.
True Love
True love is often characterized by mutual respect, understanding, and a deep emotional connection that goes beyond material possessions or financial status. It’s about valuing the person for who they are rather than what they can provide. When two people fall in love, regardless of their financial situation, they often find ways to support each other and build a life together. This can include emotional support, shared experiences, and a commitment to each other’s well-being. True love is not dependent on wealth or convenience; it’s a bond that can thrive even in the absence of financial abundance.
Seems like the days of meeting, dating, and falling in love are a lost era. It is replaced by where I went, what I did, where I took selfies, and what I ate. How many likes my post got is also not love, it could be jealousy, envy, and greed. Fueling more of the same from others who wish to have your life and seek the same with false intentions and false emotions.
Expiry Date.
I wish we all had a stamp on the bottom of our butts… Best before xx/xx/xx. Let me check when you are past your expiry date, please.
At least then you know how long you gotta put up with her.
Financial security can contribute to the stability of a relationship. It should not be confused with love. Love is a complex emotion that encompasses care, dedication, and a willingness to share one’s life with another person, irrespective of their financial situation. True love is about connection and commitment, and it can flourish even between those who have little in terms of material wealth. Being materialistic and hoping to find a rich husband is not a good plan no matter how beautiful you are. Not a viable long-term plan unless you are extremely smart, cunning, and possibly evil. Let’s face it, one day you will be past your best before the date and will need more than looks to get by.
