1. Everyday Scenarios
Use real-life situations, for example:
- At a restaurant: “I would like to order a (___).”
- At a store: “Do you have this in (___)?”
- Making plans: “Let’s meet at (____) at (____).”
2. Progressive Difficulty
Start with simple to complex sentences:
- Basic: “I want to buy a (___).”
- Intermediate: “I need to buy a (___) because (___).”
- Advanced: “I was going to buy a (___), but I changed my mind because (____).”
3. Question & Answer Format
Have students practice responses based on these sentences:
- Q: “Where would you like to go?”
- A: “I would like to go to (___).”
4. Role-Playing
Roles for real conversations:
- student: “I need to book an appointment for (___).”
- receptionist: “Sure! What time works for you?”
- student: 2 PM would be great!
- receptionist: Great, see you at 2 PM
5. Sentence Expansion Game
Each student adds a word to expand the sentence:
- Start: “I need to go to the (___).”
- Next person: “I need to go to the supermarket to buy (___).”
- Another: “I need to go to the supermarket to buy milk because (___).”
