It started with a coffee.
A small latte at a place with big views and big promises. Akasa Specialty Coffee in Kintamani looked perfect on Instagram, like many places do. But what I walked into was something else entirely, a filthy toilet, cobwebs, black mould, slow service, and staff who couldn’t care less if I stayed or left.
That’s when it hit me.
How many other businesses are pouring their energy into looking good, while the actual customer experience falls apart behind the scenes?
And so began this little mission of mine.
The Real Bali Hospitality Test
In Bali, where tourists come with high expectations, it’s not enough to have a great view or a cool vibe. People want clean toilets, friendly faces, decent service, and a space that feels cared for. They’re not asking for luxury. Just for the basics to be done well.
I started noticing things.
Leaky faucets. Loose door handles. Dirty corners in the washroom. Staff that look confused instead of confident. Places where the food comes late, the smiles never come, and the attitude makes you feel like you’re interrupting their day.
And the worst part? Owners often don’t know or care?
They don’t see what the customers see. They rely on their team and trust their systems, but when was the last time they really looked? Or has it become the norm?
That’s where I come in.
Undercover Customer. Honest Feedback. No Fluff.
Call me the mystery guest, the unannounced audit, the quiet customer who notices everything. If your business in Bali wants to know the real customer experience, I’ll tell you. The good, the bad, and the stuff your TripAdvisor reviews aren’t saying out loud.
- Is your place clean?
- Are your staff trained?
- Is the service actually working?
If not, your guests won’t return. But they will post about it.

I’m not here to bash businesses. I’m here to help them get better. Because when your place is clean, your staff are sharp, and your service flows, you win. Your customers win. And Bali keeps its reputation as a world-class destination.
So if you’re serious about levelling up, let’s talk.
