Are You an NPC?

Most of you will have no understanding of what an NPC is… Are you and your activities in daily life such that you make no difference to the world? What good do you do what activities do you participate in that affect no one?

Do you go about your day as if you are the only person on this planet? Do you keep to yourself and hide at the mere thought of interacting with someone? What contributions do you bring to the world and others in it? Do you muck about all day and hope to hide for the rest of your life, not rocking the boat?

All the while wondering how the hell others are living their life and you getting no part of it? You get nothing of what everyone else is having? You have zero connection to anyone, anything and yet constantly scroll social media and wonder why people have a better life than you?

So Are You An NPC?

Check out the basic definition of an NPC:

It’s used metaphorically to describe people who seem to lack independent thought or originality, blindly following trends or opinions without critical thinking. This usage is often seen in memes and online discussions.

An NPC is a character in a game who is controlled by the game itself, rather than by a human player.

The term originates from tabletop role-playing games, where the gamemaster or referee controls these characters. In video games, they are controlled by the game’s artificial intelligence (AI).

So What Will You Do?

Will you beg on the sidelines and wait for something to drop into your lap? Will you endlessly scroll social media and hope to be as lucky as the other person, because clearly they are lucky, right?

Clearly, they have succeeded and you just suck and are afraid to try and afraid to fail…

What you do not know is how many times that person as failed and how many mistakes that person had made before they became successful. You are playing the NPC and even at that you suck and will continue sucking unless you get out there and do something! Take part in this world because life will pass you by and the next thing you will wonder is why did my life turn out this way?

Zsolt Zsemba

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
