I am Curious About the Future.

What happens to all the content?

A hundred years from now, where will my content be? As my social media continues to grow, I began to wonder. What will happen to all these social media accounts in the future? I have a friend of mine, whose daughter was very big on TikTok. One day this young girl had enough of TikTok and decided to leave an account of over 150K followers behind. Done, done, and done.

It is a cash cow of sorts and now it is dormant. TikTok takes effort, work, and dedication. For it to grow and flourish it needs to be fed and nurtured and maintained like a well-oiled machine.

I usually know what posts will do well and what posts will be average. How do I know? I know by the effort I put into it. This is true with life, work, and pretty much any hobby you may have. Social media is work and sometimes it is stressful.

Why stress over it?

Sometimes it is comments and sometimes it is the lack of comments or content.

  • What do I talk about?
  • Will this resonate with the audience?
  • Will this blow up in my face?
  • What will people say?
  • How will they react?
  • Will I get unfollowed?
  • Will I gain followers?
  • Does this fall in line with my current content?

So many questions and few answers.

All this for what? I am curious about how long I can keep going. Will it all crumble one day? What will happen 2-5 years from now? How will the world change?

Maybe the world will blow up and all this will have been for nothing. Who knows. But the reality of it is that at one point social media people will pass on. What will happen with their content and social media accounts?

In my case, it will all go to my son, and then what? If he does nothing with them then so be it. It will be a dormant account and that’s that. My books will generate some money and so will my YouTube but in the end, it will just take up some storage space on Amazon, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

So what am I doing for now? For me, it is about passing on knowledge, helping people, and seeing where it takes me. So far it has helped me get other business ventures that have nothing to do with TikTok but more for personal income. I guess at the end that is all we can hope for.

His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
