I feel I need to get a TikTok update here. While my base followers have been business-based I felt I needed to continue with that. However, as of late, I have switched to English classes on Zoom and some much sillier content. While this had never been the goal, I have found that very few business owners follow through with their goals.
You can lead a horse to water.
While my time and effort are free to them, I expect them to follow up. Free simple websites on Google Sites, free social media help, and coaching. Yet it seems that they want me to do it all for them and that is not going to happen.
Success cannot be handed to you.
As much as one would want, wish, pray, or hope… Success will not come and land in your lap overnight by contacting me on TikTok or Instagram. I can help and tell you what to do but I cannot do it for you. Many business owners ask the right questions but when they hear the answers they back off.
Why am I not succeeding? Because you are lazy!
Yes, there I said it. Many people reach out to me and tell me that they don’t know how to do something. I don’t know how to post or make reels. I don’t understand TikTok or Instagram. There are two options. Learn it or hire someone.
I have no money.
This is the most common answer. So go learn, go to YouTube, listen to me, and learn. We can lead a horse to water but we cannot make them drink. Why is it that people have made the effort to create and manufacture products only to let them waste and die in the end?
Act or suffer.
The best defence is an offence. So get off your lazy ass and learn from me, the internet, or from your friends. However, do not constantly contact me and waste my time with your laziness. You will eventually suffer. Now or later you will suffer because of your lack of enthusiasm or business sense. Maybe you are not cut out to be a business owner. If you think you are then act like it. Do what needs to be done.
If you don’t act, you will lose what you have achieved, is that what you want? I simply do not understand. Go and attack the problem at hand with all hands on deck to save your business and make some money. In short, my TikTok is filled with business support material and business info. However, I find that people seem to prefer entertainment. While my TikTok grew on business ideas and mentoring. I need to take a break and have some fun. Business content will be back, but I wish people would pay attention.
