Conversations

Let’s talk in English.

Upon discovering this need for English lessons, I never imagined the need to be so great.

Hundreds of messages pour into my TikTok and Instagram accounts from individuals hoping to connect in this digital world via Zoom. The fact that I am offering an hour for free will make for an interesting Zoom session with an update to come soon.

Why is there such a need? Mostly they want to speak to a foreigner I assume. As this movement began on the beach in Kedungu Bali, it will be interesting to see how it will play out in a Zoom class with people that are already familiar to me.

This is the key I think.

Why the huge outpouring of requests? I assume that it is because they feel they know me from TikTok. They watch my TikTok Live. I assume they feel they know me.

This is also interesting because I know many of them by the logo or avatar, they choose for their TikTok. Some have personal pictures and others use cartoon characters or logos.

Either way, it will be interesting to put a face to a name. Ok, sometimes the names are interesting as well. Such as my friend Eka, Pen, and User-VIP.

In this crazy world of TikTok, I assume that we will have some very interesting conversations both in TikTok and on zoom.

They get to talk back!

This for me is easy. I will look at each Zoom user as one of my TikTok fans. However, the difference will be that they get to talk back.

On TikTok, I feel more like a DJ. On TikTok, I get to chat or play a picture guessing game to keep the algorithm going. On Zoom it will be so much more information about one topic and that is English. I will be focusing on conversational English for the most part and explaining each word and how they can use it in a sentence.

Keeping in mind that Zoom attendees will be at different levels of comprehension of the English language is key.

I will be focused on simple and easy sentences so they can try and repeat the whole sentence and not just learn the words. This is in hopes of giving them confidence and a bit of understanding when they meet, greet, or encounter English-speaking foreigners.

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
