Listen to me!

You may have my attention, but I am not yours yet. There is some life left in me yet. I want to beat you at your game, we ain’t over yet.

You come and go and then stay a while… Try to coerce me into your world. The depressed darkness you call home. I always see the slight glimmer of light, no matter how much darkness you shed on me. The place you live in is your world, not mine. I’ll find my paradise.

However, even paradise has its seasons, downsides, floods, and mudslides. It cannot always be sunshine and happiness. This is how you the darkness, manage to creep in and try to take over.

I welcome you with open arms…

You are my mirror and therefore I see. You reflect onto me the little things I may miss, the big things I may miss. You show me caution, care, sadness, and life.

Oh, Darkness I like you by my side. Careful though, don’t get too cocky. You are my friend sometimes. Darkness, you must always be a tiny part of my life.

I cannot have you around for long. Cannot risk myself being consumed by you, and cannot let you have my heart and soul. You are Darkness, my old friend.

Sit and have a cup of coffee.

We talk often and share memories of the past. The tortures of the present and the uncertainty of the future. We have amazing conversations you and me.

Especially the late-night bouts in my mind. Where words and ideas pour over my head. At times I cannot stop you, but it’s a good thing, I think. You exit my mind in creative ways, you help me make notes and file things away.

Oh, Darkness you are my friend… I love you; I need you and I am happy to see you. However, your time has not come to take over. You lurk, you seek, and wait for your opportunity to attack. Slyly, you slither your way into people’s lives. Sometimes you manage to take over and move in for the kill. However, this is not my time, not just yet. Hang in there my friend.

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
