Unit 12A-05

Book 8. Unit 12A-05

I never believed in ghosts. I have still yet to see one, but I sure have heard them. Let me explain. I was in my apartment at Mitra Oasis apartments in Jakarta. If you care to search for it, it is right next to The Oasis hotel and Plaza Atrium in Senen.

I have been staying in this apartment for over a year. It was a normal weekend when I was woken up by what sounded like massive thunder. During the rainy season, the thunder echoed like crazy between towers A, B and C. It was so loud that I jumped out of bed. When another and another sound rung out from above me I freaked out a little. The noise was coming from the apartment above me.

Didn’t end there…

This went on for a few minutes and at 2:30 am I just wanted to go back to bed. I did and that weekend the noises began. I was sure people above me were moving in. The sounds of furniture being pushed around and sliding on the floor above were my guess.

The sounds started on a Friday and Monday at 2:30 am I went to the security to complain. They came up with me and of course, the noises stopped.

I freaked out when he assured me that the apartment above me was indeed empty. Yes, empty and therefore I should not be hearing things. Well, I kind of let it go and chatted with my tennis buddies the next day. After that, I also met with the building management and they too assured me that the unit above me has been empty for a year and a half.

How did the story go?

To this day I feel weird. I began to write about the sounds. From what sounded like bowling balls hitting the ground. Marbles bouncing, high heels clicking and furniture being pushed around, it was all happening.

It was loud enough to hear over a video call with my brother. Anyway, I began to write and the story came to me. To this day I feel that that story is not my story. It is the story of whatever, whoever guided me to write the book. As strange as that sounds I only tried to connect the dots/noises and how they could make sense to me. I did check out the apartment several times. There was no one there.

The back of the book.

Based on true events. On April 9, 2019, Zack began hearing loud noises from apartment 12-A 05 (13th floor). Each morning at 2:30 am an array of noises wakes Zack. When Zack is told by security and building management that the unit above is unoccupied, he begins to investigate. The supposedly empty apartment unit above becomes a curiosity that Zack cannot let go of. Strange occurrences and clues begin to unravel when he discovers a young child with Angelman’s syndrome and an old gardener. His investigation leads him down a path of murder and hauntings. Zack learns of several deaths, becoming obsessed with finding the truth.

His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
