The old and the new.
Here we are in 2022. What has changed? What has improved over 1970, 1980, 1990 or the year 2000? Off the top of my head, smartphones and computers.
That’s it, nothing else improved the world has gotten worse.
With the advancement in tech, we know about shit much faster and our reaction times are immediate. Lashing out at one another and disrupting businesses, organizations and individuals. A celebrity or a politician; farts and the whole world knows in 15 seconds. The 15 seconds of fame is now fueled by media and on we go.
Politics.
With all these changes, the politicians such as Joe Biden who is nearly 80 are expected to understand how the world turns? Crypto and NFTs and the WEB 3 are moving so quickly that people in the business can hardly keep up. How are the old people who are to be winding down expected to keep up with the fast-paced world of today?
Yet at the same time, Joe Biden fits into his political demographics of old farts in politics. The lawmakers, the senate and the average member of parliament are old. How can these old people keep up with today’s world? Get rid of them all and have an age limit of at least retirement age to not be able to be in politics.
Weed them out.
Weed out the old, deeply rooted well greased and well-connected individuals. Bring in fresh thinking and fresh ideas. From education to politics, we need to revamp the system starting from the old fuddy-duddy individuals. The ones who cannot string two sentences together to the ones making incredibly stupid decisions like the ones on abortion.
We cannot have old people run a modern country. Not ones that cannot and do not understand the fast-paced world of today.
I have mentioned this many times. Education is old, it is educating the minds of the 80-year-olds and not the advanced minds of today’s children.
Children who can navigate TikTok at the age of 3 are not the same kids that watched cartoons in the 60s and 70s or the 80s. Sure we have all learned and adapted but the people teaching these kids are old school.
But how?
Quite easy to be honest. Hire new up-and-coming teachers’ aids to supplement the old. Bring everyone up to the same level and then boost the young and eager minds with content that keeps them engaged.
Visual aids are what it is all about. Look how quickly kids learn when they are being thought on their level. A teacher regurgitating information in the front of a classroom is not sufficient. It never was in my opinion. We could watch a great documentary in an hour and a half… Yet a teacher will go on about for a week and teach less than the movie would have.
Out with the old and in with the new. Oh and do not even mention budgets. We find money to give away, piss away and pour into ridiculous programs. The money is there, go find it!
