Influenced influencers. Part 7

Where social media fails.

The people that push themselves onto businesses and ask for perks such as free meals, or accommodations are jerks. If no one called you, hired you or asked you, shut the hell up about who you think you are.

You are no one to the person you are trying to influence. If you think of yourself as “powerful” prove yourself and then go back to the business and say see;

My post did this, this and this. Care to hire me for more of the same?

Aha, but no one wants to give away a freebie. It pays to be nice, pays to be polite and honest. Don’t be the entitled, millennial asshole who thinks that they are all that when you may not be. If you are a good person and see potential, offer your services, and prove yourself.

Hire me!

That’s the goal, right? Hire me, so I can make money. So that I may become famous and make more and more money. When was the last time people threw money at you? If you are a stripper or a hooker… well you don’t count, sorry.

Most business owners want an ROI. So if you are an “influencer” or want to become one, make a business plan and approach the businesses. This is where I made a difference. My personal account has 1000 followers. It goes up and down but I post photos of sunsets, cars and travel. Sometimes I post food, but no one would pay me to post on my account. My goal is not to be an influencer, my goal is to help small businesses grow.

Once you got the gig.

The small restaurant account that we manage worked out so well. Met with the very reluctant old-school owner twice before we rolled out our limited plan for them.

Today we have gotten to the point where the little restaurant has a website, and great reviews on TripAdvisor and they are happy they chose to work with us. Helping small businesses grow makes me feel good. It helps to know that we made a difference. Think about what you as an influencer are offering.

The reason we got the business was… I explained the numbers to the owner.

Seems hilarious right? He had over 5 people offering him their services… They all missed one crucial point. I took a look at their Instagram analytics and I told them what we can do for them. I guarantee that I can do better, and we did, we are. Be the person that makes a difference, don’t be stupid.

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
