Do what makes you happy. Part 11

Make memories…

Buying shit is a waste of money. Buy what you need and not what you want. Accumulate amazing memories and not materialistic items. What you spend your money on will not make you happy. If you need a new phone, of course, you simply have to have one. It is the way of life.

A new Hermes bag is a pile of shit. Spend your money on vacations, weekends away and create memories not materialistic shit. Use your money wisely.

Watch the sunrise, and the sunset and stare at the blue sky when you can. Take a walk in a forest and observe life outside of your own. Live a little and spend time with your friends and family. That is what will make you warm and fuzzy not the selfie with the bag when you are old and grey.

Enjoy life while you can.

Because we never know when tragedy will strike it is important to have short and long-term plans. Both are needed to be able to work towards something and to keep you on track.

If you always wanted to write a novel, for example, go and write it. Do some research and go for it before you get old and senile. We never know what will happen. We can learn from the past but the future is yet to be defined. A split second here or there could be the end of us all. Short term and long term goals will keep you on track to those baby steps we talked about earlier.

Life as we know it.

Because the dinosaurs were wiped out billions of years ago, we too could be. Look at COVID and imagine if that was a virus that would kill on contact. The world would be a very different place today if that were the case.

It is a lesson for all of us on the planet earth. One, we cannot fix everything and two we don’t know what tragedy can strike us. We don’t know and we will never know what the future hold. Much like we have no idea how we got here. You can believe anything you like but we still do not know.

In conclusion.

Do what makes you happy. Leave behind what makes you sad, unhappy, angry and depressed. This sure is a hard thing to achieve. It is possible, you may or may not be able to accomplish it alone.

It is always hard to look at the glass as half full. It is always difficult to not always think that the grass is greener on the other side. Most of the time the grass is very much the same but your perspective may be different.

That is the key. Change your perspective and your life too will change. Don’t be chasing the unicorn because you may never find it. But heck I am sure there are a few white horses around. The rose-coloured glasses cannot always be found either so it’s best if you live your life to the best of your abilities and enjoy your life as much as possible without getting caught in the social media-driven frenzy we tend to get swallowed in occasionally.

Happiness is within… Not in the purse the home, the shoes or the car.

Zsolt Zsemba has worn many different hats. He has been an entrepreneur, and businessman for over 30 years. Living abroad has given him many amazing experiences in life and also sparked his imagination for writing. After moving to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10 and working in a family business for a large part of his life. The switch from manufacturing to writing came surprisingly easily for him. His passion for writing began at age 12, mostly writing poetry and short stories. In 1999, the chance came to write scripts. Zsolt took some time off from his family business to write in Jakarta Indonesia for MD Entertainment. Having written dozens of soap operas and made for TV movies, in 2003 Zsolt returned to the family business once more. In 2018, he had the chance to head back to Asia once again. He took on the challenge to be the COO for MD Pictures and get back into the entertainment business. The entertainment business opened up the desire to write once more and the words began to flow onto the pages again. He decided to rewrite a book he began years ago. Organ House was reborn and is a fiction suspense novel while Scars is a young adult drama focused on life’s challenges. After the first two books, his desire to write not only became more challenging but enjoyable as well. After having several books completed he was convinced to publish them for your enjoyment. Zsolt does not tend to stay in one specific genre but tends to lean towards strong female leads and horror. Though he also has a few human interest books, he tends to write about whatever brews in his brain for a while.
